Good Happy News begins

The news industry, more so then ever, exposes us to bad, sad news every day. Stories of suffering, anxiety and despair crowd the press pages, pervade the broadcast spectrum and creep with in the ether.

It's time for Good Happy News to establish its mantle.

Post and blog of Good Happy News recounts, reaffirming that the world does support a humanity rich in good will.

As the first posting, here is an account of some Good Happy News I saw on the way to work, especially poignient given the religious misunderstandings within the world today.

Good Happy News from Sydney, Australia. 05 march 2007.

A frail and elderly man, presumably of Jewish persuasion (given the wearing of a skull-cap) was standing at some traffic lights waiting to cross the road. From my car, I watched as a young man, presumably of Muslim persuasion (given his apparel) willingly help the elderly gentleman cross the road. Warmly taking his arm, he patiently guided his fellow to the other side. Once across, a friendly farewell was all that was required, and both continued on their way.

How simple ? Such Good Happy News !
